Malaysia Visa Requirement
General Information
Bangladesh nationals who wish to travel to Malaysia on a regular Bangladesh passport require a visa to enter Malaysia and permitted to stay not more than 30 days.
Visa exemption is given to Bangladesh diplomatic or official passports on reciprocal basis for a social visit purpose pursuant to the Bilateral Agreement between the Government of Malaysia and Bangladesh on the Partial Abolition of Visa Requirement for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports dated 2014. The visit pass is issued on arrival in Malaysia for a stay of not exceeding 30 days. However, visa is still required in the case where visitor is going for other than social visit purpose such as for studies or to undertake work or training programs in Malaysia.

How to Apply?
Irving Aviation Limited is an Authorised Visa Application Agency for applying for Malaysia Visa. Apart from our main Visa Application Counter, additional counters are opening soon within Dhaka city for the convenience of applicants. Visa applicants can submit their application directly at our main counter from 8th January 2023 and our own additional counters(Directly operated by Irving Aviation in cooperation with koprima) which will be opened at the applicant’s convenient location.

Visa exemption is given to Bangladesh diplomatic or official passport holders on reciprocal basis for a social visit purpose pursuant to the Bilateral Agreement between both the Governments of Malaysia and Bangladesh on the Partial Abolition of Visa Requirement for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports in 2014. The visit pass is issued on arrival in Malaysia for a stay not exceeding 30 days. However, long term stay for the purpose of studying or work undertaking or training in Malaysia require a Visa.

Visa application form must be filled and signed by the applicant.
Two recent passport size photographs (Matt paper) with white background and without border (Size: 35×50 mm).
Please Note: Photograph should not be more than 6 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.
Covering Letter from applicant name, designation, Passport Number, purpose and outlining who will be responsible for the full costs of the trip – travel, accommodation, expenses etc. Addressed to – The Visa Officer, High Commission of Malaysia, Dhaka.
Required for business visa (If any).
a) NOC from the applicant’s company authority on the company’s letter head stating applicant’s name, designation,
passport number,purpose and duration of visit & sign with seal.
b) Student Id card or leave letter (if student).
a) Company Trade License (original notarized English translated and photocopy of the original) if the applicant is a
proprietor / owner.
b) Office ID card copy & Visiting cards.
a) Company’s or Personal Bank Statement for last six months mentioning the Bank’s name, Bank’s Telephone Number.
b) Bank Solvency Certificate.
Ticket Itinerary & Hotel Booking.
Vaccine Certificate
Child Birth Certificate.

Documents Required
Visa without Reference (Social Visit)
Visa without reference (VTR) issued and approved by the Malaysian’s Mission office abroad to a non-citizen to enable visitor to enter Malaysia for a social visit purpose. Upon arrival, visitor will be given a social visit pass for a stay of not exceeding 30 days. Bear in mind that a social visit pass is only for social visit purpose and it does not allow visitors to undertake any work, or work-related training programs or studies in Malaysia.
Below are the required documents for applying social Visa:
- 1. Original Passport (with validity not less than 7 months from travel date with 3 continuous empty pages);
- 2. Two (2) passport-sized photograph of applicant in matte paper.
- 3. Previous Malaysian visa with Entry/Exit stamping;
- 4. Confirmed return flight ticket;
- 5. Birth certificate (for minor applicants);
- 6. Recent 6 months bank statement with a letter of solvency;
- 7. Covid-19 Vaccine Certificate
- 8. Additional Documents (where applicable):
– Invitation letter from organizer or sponsor in Malaysia;
– Photocopy of English Translated trade license/business registration (for business Proprietor);
– NOC Letter for Private Job Holder;
– Government Order for Government Job Holder(Ordinary Passports holder);
– Marriage Certificate;and
– Other documents that the processing officer may require.
Visa Application for Medical Tourism
Visitors from Bangladesh who wish to go to Malaysia for a medical treatment may apply for a Visa Without Reference (social visit) and submit application to the authorised official partners of Malaysian Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) (visit https://www.mhtc.org.my/) by providing appointment letter from the medical services provider in Malaysia that are registered with the MHTC (apart from regular documents required for Visa application).

Visa with Reference (VDR)
Visa with reference (VDR) is issued by the Malaysian Mission’s office abroad to a non-citizen to enable visitor to enter Malaysia after the application is referred and approved by the Immigration Department of Malaysia. It is required for following categories.
- Visit Pass (Temporary Employment @Foreign Workers)
- 1.Employment Pass Category I, II, III
- 2. Student Pass
- 3. Visit Pass (Professional)
- 4. Visit Pass (Social)
- 5. Dependent Pass
- 6. Employment Pass (Sarawak)
Required Documents for (VDR):
- VDR approval letter issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia;
- EMGS approval letter (For Student);
- Color Scan copy of Passport;
- Passport-sized photos; and
- Other documents as may be required (if any).

Processing Time :
It takes 2 working days for processing. This 2 working days processing period applies only for working days and, does not include weekends, public holidays, Malaysian holidays and any other specific countries holidays.
The 2 working days processing time also does not include unforeseen or uncontrollable events including, but not limited to, system maintenance downtime, Internet Service Provider (ISP) equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events or acts of war.
Fees and Charges:
Bangladesh Taka equivalent 5100 Tk per Applicant excluding the Application Processing Fee.
Validity of Visa
eVISA is valid for 3 months while eVISA holder is entitled to stay for the total of days subjected to eligibility of eVISA holder nationality for each visit to Malaysia.
